How It Began
NoWa was founded after a chance encounter. I was on holiday in Spain with my 2-year-old son on the beach when a toothpaste cap washed up onto my feet whilst my son and I were playing. Upon realising what this was I took it upon myself to change my lifestyle and look for more sustainable alternatives.
Discovering existing alternatives, albeit expensive and fluoride-free, inspired me to fill a gap in the market. NoWa was born from the idea of offering premium oral care that’s both eco-friendly and affordable.
With a vision to prove that sustainability and quality shouldn’t be compromised, I collaborated with dental experts, scientists, and carbon emission consultants to develop products addressing key concerns of safety, quality, and price.
Moving Forward
Launching in 2020, we at NoWa unveiled our oral care range with a fluoride-infused tablet form of toothpaste and mouthwash, packaged in reusable tin jars. This innovative approach not only minimised environmental impact but also surpassed existing eco-friendly products.
Expanding our range, we launched a unique Bamboo Toothbrush with a replaceable head, reducing waste. Engineered with plant-based bristles made from charcoal and bamboo, it sets a new standard in eco-friendly oral care.
